... dining table that just earlier seated all ten children. Grandma Ruth really enjoys children and has a marvellous knack in keeping Karl humoured. They actually enjoyed humouring each other over a book and it's great to observe from the side. What a special moment for them with the rest of kids yahooing downstairs.

... first day: Catch the train to our hotel, check in, catch a train to Versailles, tour Versailles and the Gardens, catch the train back to central Paris and meet up with Jerry and Jeannette for a 6 p.m. dinner, followed by a night cruise on the Seine and then arrive back to the hotel, hopefully, by midnight. When she says "hit the deck running", she isn't kidding! I guess we'll sleep when we get back home!
