After a peaceful few days in Fort Edward we moved on through Lock 6 and Lock 5, and we asked to tie up at Lock 4 where we intended to spend the night. Unfortunately when Marty went to talk to the lockmaster he could not allow us to stay overnight since there were big barges coming through. After a quick lunch we moved through Lock 4 and on to our next planned stop- Mechanicville. The wall has power, water, ...

There is free power and water, as well as bathroom and showers. No internet though- we walked over a half hour to McDonald's in the new section of town to get internet. The town has some ...

The train tracks were right beside us most of the way to Whitehall, and eventually I got ...

... or as Milo began to call them, the "flotisserie." I love that term! But something must have happened because Otto noticed that they seemed to stay in place for a very long time and they never caught up to us. Not even when we got stuck on the rocks several times. This is really the first time that I have ever been so stuck on a rocky section that I couldn't move. At one point I thought I was moving, but ...

... of our RV. As we drove across Missouri we encountered construction the entire way. The four lane road was reduced to two for most of the route which was tiring to say the least. We were so exhausted that we missed the campground that we had planned on staying in and drove another hour only to find that we were in the wrong place. Fortunately they had room and we stayed the night. The next morning we moved on to Wisconsin. We passed through LaCrosse and ...
