    Started today with a blown water hose in Klyed. It took awhile to find a hardware store, but Mike got it fixed. Then we had this bright idea to go find an RV supply store and get some new 12v bulbs for the two that were out, aannddd...since we are in town lets take the dogs to a dog wash. So we did.     ... it was well-maintained road and frankly more fun to ride in the wet than the pavement).

    We arrived in Couer d’Alene around 4:00, hung out downtown for a few hours and then made our way to the home of Claudio’s brother in-law, where he and his wife hosted us for the evening. After a steak dinner, red wine, and a hot tub, (and a much needed round of laundry) we called it a day.

    ... his coach Paul and super fast biker Ed, closely. We saw him again at mile 70 although he foesn't quite recall seeing us at all! He was going well - and finished a good bike in 6.16. It was a tougher ride than expected and cold to begin with. Another lengthy transition later and the moment of truth came with the beginning of the run. He took off looking good and I didn't ask about the hamstring so as not to jinx anything. ...
