    ... morning we drove south along Hwy 31 - called the Oregon Outback which had us in rain and snow for over 209 miles. Beautiful snow and good roads. Although we planned to stay in Likely,CA the park was closed due to snow, so we motored on to Susanville to see my family. Then headed back to Wilton over Hwy 80 and more new snow.     ... of Cascades National Park. We left Winthrop on a rainy day and traveled through areas of recent wildfires. Traveling south we encountered mudslides and traffic delays. The slides were quickly cleared and the machinery used in the clearing was quickly dispatched to another problem areas. In Winthrop someone had said "these are the worst fires in the history of Washington". That may be true, who knows? Our next stop was BeeBee Bridge Park on the Columbia ...

    ... lucky ones that would have a hot breakfast. Instant Oatmeal in a sandwich bag with hot water actually sounded very good. It tasted even better. Good job Amor. Others had yogurt and granola bars, sandwiches left over from the previous day, protein bars and Gatorade.
