It was a long drive from New Orleans to Houston. Nita spent the day working while I drove.

We're staying at the same park we 'hijacked' a spot in on the way out. We spent our time doing laundry and getting ready for tomorrow's drive. It is going to be a long one too - to Sonora. We want to stay at the Caverns again - we really liked that spot!

Finally - a place to rest

We wanted to get as far as we possibly could today. We're hoping to clear out of TX tomorrow.

We hit a lot of traffic coming into Houston. Glad it was on a Saturday evening and not peak hour during the week.

We snagged a last spot at the RV park and intend on getting going first thing in the morning. We hope to have 2 days at either Ormond beach, FL or Miami.

The Countdown is On! 3 days!

We arrive at our first Icelandic stop (Gundarfjörour) on Wednesday and then on ...

After all, there's still nothing better than the handwritten my opinion! To make life easier with so much typing, I purchased a keyboard for my iPad. It sure makes for a heavier ...

... br> Lunch: Goode’s Barbecue for Texas style barbecue (brisket). Yum-yum! Brisket, cole slaw, Texas toast with jalapeņos, and beans. Jim had pinto beans with jalapeņos while Barbara had Austin style baked beans (beans, pork belly, pieces of brisket, red bell peppers, onions and apples-what a surprise). Both were delicious.

Next we thought we’d shop at the Galleria Mall. Big mistake! ...
