... that look like those bungalow style ones on stilts they have in Brisbane and other parts of Queensland, but still some Mayan style huts and shacks, and even some more english looking buildings (Belize used to be an English colony). There is also a fair mix of races here, lots of Mayan and lating looking people, lots of blacks and the odd whitey thrown in too. We got to Belize City too late to get the last ferry to Caye Caulker, so we had to stay in town for the night. We ...

... of Tulum. It was one of the most beautiful beaches that we have ever seen, with a reef for snorkelling right in front of our place, fishermen and athletic people kite surfing. We met 2 Brit girls, Karen and Gemma, who kept us entertained with their bargaining skills, had fun at a birthday party dinner for Karen in Tulum, and heard some of their wonderful and not so wonderful travel stories. We hope that the rest of their trip is ...

Tulum

... This relaxing way of life became very easy to get used to and so we ended up spending an extra day in Tulum getting to know some lovely people there. The third night we were there it was ladies night across the road at a bar with free drinks and some quality music. We had a really good night out with everyone we had met. The next evening we got the nightbus out of Tulum to Palenque to visit the jungle ruins.

... store to buy some much needed cervecias. Then we headed towards Anna y Jose beach club. Unfortunately they were doing construction on the road so we decided to head north towards El Paradiso beach club. Before we got there, we noticed the beautiful turquoise water and some parking spots near Mezzanine so we decided to hit the beach there.

... but it is the poor who fight up against it when it gets too bad because they are the ones who feel it. we have evidence of the knowledge of this war in almost every movie that has been made.. always a good guy and a bad guy with the good almost always winning. a picture of our world. really it?s a picture of God battling for us, and it?s our hope that He will win, well He has, through Christ who is coming back for us. it seems like there is a lot of ...

... s something I haven't seen done so nicely at any other Palace hotel. Very nice, I could definetely see myself on a rainy day in this pool. Just looking at the rain pooring down, why I safely get to play fish in the water. I finally found the perfect spot: A pool lounger half submerged in the water. I took a quick swim in the cold water, which felt heavenly and ...

... is supposed to hit!!) and we were stuck in our room, listening to rain and wind outside and hoping that some music would keep us company. (And, just because a hurricane is on the way doesn't mean its not still ridiculously hot outside, making our powerless -- more importantly, fanless -- room not exactly inviting.) The hurricane did hit south of cancun around 1am and we mostly slept through what was happening in Cancun -- lots of rain and wind. Monday: day after the hurricane ...
