Great park, loved the beff'n' Barra on Friday night when we arrived. Did not have to cook and the money raised goes to Care Flight. Only downer was the bats.

Very friendly staff, well set out park and shady sites. We enjoyed our stay overlooking Lake Kununurra. A regular freshwater croc made his way in each evening and we really enjoyed the barra burger night down by the camp fire. Well done for putting this event together only wished we could have enjoyed the Wed and Saturday night special events put on - all monies going to the St John Ambulance volunteers.

Arrived here at the peak of the dry season and yet were still found a water front site. Large park with powered and unpowered sites as well as bungalows. Functional amenities block, good laundry, dump point and gas bottle refills all available. Plenty of BBQs along the lake foreshore.

We arrived here with car problems needing repairs. The staff could not have been more accommodating ensuring a suitable site for up to a week knowing how busy the town mechanics are. Would definitely recommend.

So woke up at Lake Argle this morning at 530am as the sun rises around then. We have decided camping has to be put in the "too hard" basket! We were so hot last night our battery powered fan only lasted long enough to get us to sleep. We woke up sweltering hot needing to create ventilation in our tent. To our dismay it started raining last night …

Well we made the 74km journey from Lake Argyle to Kununurra without incident. Staying at the Discovery Holiday Park on Lake Kununurra. It's a beautiful spot right on the lake. Although it is busy here it is by no means packed out. The only thing spoiling it are the amenities, which are clean but poorly fitted out.

... has calculated that there are around 25,000 freshwater crocs in the lake as well as 26 species of native fish, 90 islands that are home to various marsupials and one third of Australia’s bird species. Suffice to say that it was still and we didn’t hang around to count!!

So we wimped out and went back to the caravan park for lunchtime, a bit of a rest then some swimming in the afternoon and some more croc spotting.
