Good park with very friendly staff. Nice clean pool and pleasant surrounds, with view over lake. Also very quiet.

Very friendly staff, well set out park and shady sites. We enjoyed our stay overlooking Lake Kununurra. A regular freshwater croc made his way in each evening and we really enjoyed the barra burger night down by the camp fire. Well done for putting this event together only wished we could have enjoyed the Wed and Saturday night special events put on - all monies going to the St John Ambulance volunteers.

Arrived here at the peak of the dry season and yet were still found a water front site. Large park with powered and unpowered sites as well as bungalows. Functional amenities block, good laundry, dump point and gas bottle refills all available. Plenty of BBQs along the lake foreshore.

We arrived here with car problems needing repairs. The staff could not have been more accommodating ensuring a suitable site for up to a week knowing how busy the town mechanics are. Would definitely recommend.

We drove the 70 kilometres out to Lake Argyle mid morning. This proved to be a very pretty drive, particularly after we turned off the highway. First stop was the old Durack homestead, which had been relocated, otherwise it would have been deep down in the lake and much harder to visit! Hopefully Matthew picked up quite a few 'interesting facts' …

Anybody who knows me at all well can attest to the fact that I'm renowned for not being able to measure anything. Every time something needs to be measured and cut I have to buy twice as much material just to make up for errors. I recall having a shed full of timber that just wasn't quite long enough!

Well, it would appear that I may also …

Hello everyone and a special HELLO to Grade 4A. Thanks for all the messages kids.

We have survived 10 days and nights on the Gibb River Road with no phone service and definitely no internet, but now we're safely back in town (Kununurra). We have many blog entries to catch up with, but here is a brief summary of our Gibb River Road …

We were up early again and we headed out to the Ordco (Co-op). Diesel fuel was 15 cents per litre cheaper there than the two petrol stations in town. We visited the butcher and had some meat cryovaced for us to take on the Gibb River Road.

At 1:30 Merryn, Matthew, Patrick and Glen were collected from Croc Rock by Scott the boat driver for Eco-nanoeing. We had own private tour up the Ord river as there were no canoeists to be collected that day.

We saw beautiful scenery as we motored up the river. We had up close views of the Sleeping Budha and Elephant rock formations …
