... t cooperate for a good impression of Homer. We could see that the views would be spectacular but the days we were there were overcast, rainy and the mountains and views of Kechemak Bay were completely obscured by clouds. That put a damper on our experience for sure. That and the fact that driving on the spit was way too much like driving through Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge in TN. We drove back into Seward for a not-so-fast stop to watch the otters play in Resurrection Bay, walk the coast line, and play with a gorgeous golden retriever. We also met a man and his white lab, Dewey from California. This man and his dog have been traveling all over the U.S, and is currently spending the ...

... We saw a brown bear, moose, Rocky Mountain elk, white tailed deer, lynx, caribou and musk ox. The musk oxen are valued for their fine undercoat called "qiviut." Eskimos knit the hair, eight times warmer than wool, into hats and scarves. Cara gave us a guided tour on the bus and then we were able to walk the grounds. The weather was cloudy and in the 60's, but the liquid sunshine stopped for our visit.

We also stopped where Canyon Creek ...
