... and this fall trip was no different. It occurred to me today that in the last few weeks we had travelled much of I75. We were in the Sault for Canadian Thanksgiving and where I 75 starts and here we were following it south to Florida.

Kentucky has all the lovely horse farms and Richard suggested we stop at the Berea Arts and Crafts Centre which is also a Welcome Centre. He knows I love it there but I resisted buying anything as I ...

We left Ballston Spa on Monday the 8th with a great deal of sadness. After being there for a month we all had a comfortable routine that was difficult to give up. Good museum and video, amazing gathering mound with chief's circle, and visits to outside of funeral and other mounds. A bit of a walk for me through the river / backwater area with herons and egrets. Then it was on to the Fish and Pig for a great supper. Back to the camp early for some quiet time. A great ...

... by 8:30 (were we tired or what?!!!)

Monday, July 11, 2011

We were up by 6:30, on the road by 7:30 and soon passed a town called Pierson. We felt like calling American Pickers as we drove through this place—a whole menagerie of sculptures greeted us from the side of the road: horses, giraffes, buffalo amid myriads of pickins. Lauren complained that the portable DVD player ...
