Friendly staff, good facilities, store with reasonably priced goods that come in handy when camping. Best of all the GORGEOUS kabins amongst the redwoods, very private with own swinging chair on the balcony and firepit and picnic table next to the kabin. Highly recommended. Good place to explore this stunning area.

Well i thought we had driven on along some pretty scenic roads. The road from Redding to the west coast is just unbelievable. The scenery is just superb. We follow a river with many rapids, plus the many shades of green from the forest that lines the road. Breathtaking stuff. We are also lucky with the weather as we are now in the sunshine state, …

We liked this KOA so much, we decided to stay an extra night! How can you resist a cozy cabin and a campground with goats!? We even had S'Mores last night - so what if they were without the graham crackers and the marshmallows!? We really have enjoyed the drive on Route 101, and are in awe of these GIANT Redwoods! Worried that Trees of Mystery may …

Our campground has information on self guided tours for the area. We set out to drive through the Jedediah Smith State Park. It is fairly close to our campground. On the way to the park, we find a small casino and stop to check it out. It is really small, we don't spend much time there. We head out to the state park, it is beautiful, full of Giant …

We are back in California! We drove 3 1/2 hours from North Bend, Or. to Crescent City, Ca. The morning and drive was foggy and raining. It was so foggy in a lot of the places that we knew we were driving along the ocean but couldn't see it. Between the fog and my camera not working, I didn't take any pictures. Now that we are in California it …
