Friendly staff, good facilities, store with reasonably priced goods that come in handy when camping. Best of all the GORGEOUS kabins amongst the redwoods, very private with own swinging chair on the balcony and firepit and picnic table next to the kabin. Highly recommended. Good place to explore this stunning area.

Our campground has information on self guided tours for the area. We set out to drive through the Jedediah Smith State Park. It is fairly close to our campground. On the way to the park, we find a small casino and stop to check it out. It is really small, we don't spend much time there. We head out to the state park, it is beautiful, full of Giant …

We are back in California! We drove 3 1/2 hours from North Bend, Or. to Crescent City, Ca. The morning and drive was foggy and raining. It was so foggy in a lot of the places that we knew we were driving along the ocean but couldn't see it. Between the fog and my camera not working, I didn't take any pictures. Now that we are in California it …

Our campsite in Crescent City, CA was only 20 miles from the Oregon border. We had a nice site next to a small grove of Redwood trees. After we settled in I took a drive through town and found the two lighthouses off the rocky shoreline. I hiked some rolling trails along the shore, and I felt like I was going to get blown off the bluff that I …

9/11 - Today we relaxed and just ventured around the town of Crescent City. We visited the Crescent City harbor which is the home to a whole group of sea lions. They plop themselves on a group of rocks along side the harbor and lay in the sun/swim and make tons of noise. They are huge - much bigger than the sea lions we saw in Washington. The …
