As a very last minute change of heart, I decided that I’d join them instead of going straight to Nicaragua. ... I wanted to start from the beginning again or give up. I hurriedly managed to get the right shoulder strap clipped up and swung the gear onto my shoulder. Once it's there you can fasten a Velcro strap around your waist which will hold it in position. It was secure enough, my only thought was to sort Alex out and then worry about my straps later. Once Alex was comfortable I had to point out that he would have to reach behind me and clip up my left shoulder strap, 'not too ...
