Immelmokit Cabins Levi

This is our frist of many night trains accross Europe.
We Leave Helsinki on the 9th and get into Rovaniemi very early on the 10th

We should have a fun packed Day in Rovaniemi. looking to do some arctic rally driving. and other male bonding activities.

No niin, yksi yö vielä ja sitten matkaan. Olemme pakanneet taas aika kevyesti, sillä kyllähän vaatekauppoja löytyy tarvittaessa matkan varreltakin.

Pakkaaminen tuotti tällä kertaa päänvaivaa hitusen verran enemmän kuin normaalisti, sillä iso joukkiomme kulkee osittain eri reittejä. ... a row. Needless to say I now I have a massive egg on my knee. Ouch. The stupid thing was that I came home to ice it and thought "hmm I dont have any ice" and was trying to think what I could use. Umm, Emma, just open your front door there is PLENTY of snow out there! doh!

So Ive had a chilled out night. Lit the fire (ahh I love lighting proper fires....), had a sauna and have just been relaxing.... life is tough sometimes..

... Circle marker. In the evening, we bought a bottle of wine for a remarkable 6 pounds and got ready to have a lovely meal out! We had a traditional Lappish started with a selection of cold meats, pates, cheese and delicacies. For the main we had a pot of shredded Reindeer meat and the smoothest mashed potato with local red berrys of some sort. It was AMAZING! Even if it did keep me, Kt, up all night with indigestion!

Skróciliśmy nieco czas przejazdu do Nordkapp i dzięki temu zyskaliśmy dodatkowy dzień. Postanowiliśmy wykorzystać go na podroż do Rovaniemi - miasta, w okolicy którego mieszka Święty Mikołaj. Po raz kolejny przekraczaliśmy tez biegun północny.

This was pretty unreal! The sun shines here 24 hrs a day this time of the year. The weird thing is you don't really start to feel tired... your body clock is totally confused. I mean we were up at 2am and it felt like the afternoon. I guess thats why the Finns drink so much ...

Nimi Vennäänmutka. Seal suurt seltskond lõkke ääres. Asuvad õnneks peatselt lahkuma ja ma saan nende lõkke omale. Söön õhtust ja panen telgi kuuse alla. Ainus sile koht, mille leian. Kuskil kahe tunni pärast saabuvad roheline-kollane. Jätan lõkke neile ja kobin magama.
