    There is no better view in the world! Mountains and ocean combined. So very worth the money.

    ... of around the peninsula for Home. We pass through a number of towns of Russian origin, Soldotna and Ninilchik amongst them. Our designation, Homer, is spread out over many miles of coast at the southernmost tip of the flat land. Across the Kachemak bay the snowcapped peaks and glaciers of the Kenai Fjord National Park can be seen against the sky. Tomorrow we will kayak at the feet of these hills.

    ... the wind out there is more devestating then annoying. add that to the fact that the sand gets everywhere and they charge you $8 a day for this priviledge and you just end up being very annoyed with the whole thing. my boss is kind enough to let us camp up on her spare 2 acres that she owns above town so its nice and quiet and we have quite the kick ass view (and its free). the ...
