    Three days now in Croatia having travelled from Lake Bled on a very good motorway system to Rovinj in Croatia. We visited the caves at Postojna which were amazing .. A train trip of 2 kilometres at beginning and end with a walking tour in between which was a bit taxing but I kept up with the crowd.     ... were constructed and Rovinj was fortified by two rows of defensive walls, remains of which can still be seen today. We visited the old town, Balbi's arch, walked along the cobbled streets, church of St. Euphemia and climbed the bell tower.     Today has been an adventure. We first had to get a taxi (our first of this trip) to get to the airport to pick up the rental car. The Rijeka airport is actually on an island about 20-30 minutes away from town. At least we got to see more of the surrounding area! From there, we drove west to the city of Pula.
