Finally feel like we are on holiday
... get higher when the snow thaws in the snowy mountains. We will be heading off on Monday 13th to Mildura via Robinvale about 200 klm away. For now just going to relax and enjoy the warm sunshine without the wind that has been keeping us cool and increasing our fuel consuption(38 litres per 100klm).

Nyah
Left camp at Paradise at 9.30 and headed back into Robinvale where we did our washing once again and had showers. We arrived at Nyah Recreation Reserve V333 at lunch time and were rather disappointed. Just a large bare patch of grass (mostly bindis) with a toilet block across the road. Cows and carp in Swan Hill
... s horror, but she actually ended up making friends with a few of them, which was very brave of her..
We were amazed that within minutes, despite the ducks trying to steal the worm off our hooks, I had a little carp on my line! Slimy little sod he was, but a fish non the less! As you need a license to fish here, we weren't planning on keeping anything anyway, but obviously the carp was going back... not known for being tasty apparently?

Swan Hill Bound
Again another chilly start this morning, but I must say my new heater works much better than the old one so we were all nice and toasty in the van and not keen to get out.
With only 420km to travel to Swan Hill today we were meandering along and pulled out around 10.00am. Driving this morning we will manage to cross three states in a few hours, thats a bit of trivia for you !!!
I have stocked up on the car staples again as it will be straight to Swan Hill ...
Country living and giant cods
... had the chance to drive the little car that's been provided to her and her house-mates courtesy of her boss. And I use the term car very loosely - it's a car in the sense that it has four wheels, a steering wheel and an engine. It has no roof, there are no doors and I think it's maximum speed is around the 60km per hour mark.
