      Breakfast with the Ogle's

We returned to the Ogle's cabin in the woods where Glen and Lois prepared a Colorado Omelet over the campfire in a very large frying pan with a large garbage can lid for the lid. It consisted of 3 dozen eggs, bell peppers, onions, tomatoes and then with cheese added on top at the last just to melt. It was very, very good. There are bear hunters with their dogs parked along the way. We left and returned to the camper and be leaving this area ...

... Their fish boils consist of the fish and then onions, carrots and rutabagas. Others brought side dishes and desserts. It was a cold day, mostly cloudy, but it was comfortable because we were all dressed warmly. Everything was on the outside because the cabin is small. There is a river that runs along their property and it is surrounded by a national forest. We left about 3:00 and returned to our campsite. It was a great day! ...

Had a great Wisconsin dinner with Brats, burgers and fresh apple pie. It was great to see them!

... and greet me, whiich was neat considering it has bee 11 years since we left. Currently I am writing this in my tent as I shelter-in-place against the onslaught of bugs. I should make it through the night but must say that fixing dinner felt like a scene from "A Band of Brothers" except it was mosquito buzz, not bullets. ...

Brief report from Rib Lake, Wisconsin

... so I decided to go there, it was only 5 miles away. Rib Lake turned out to be a nice little town, and the camp has apparently not been discovered by anyone, because I was the only guest. 74-year host Dean, a former U.S. Marine, welcomed me, and I found a nice site and set up camp. Later I went for dinner at Camp 28, just a mile away. I don't (yet) have a Verizon/HotSpot, so I rely ...
