... flat land where water meets land. Which means pretty much anywhere you walk around Avalon, you end up going up a steep hill sooner or later.

Interestingly, all the vehicles here appear to be powered by natural gas – which means they are clean and quiet. It's bizarre seeing a mid-sized truck going along while only making as much noise as petrol car would. The nice thing is that people aren’t allowed to bring cars onto the island, so are ...

#33 3-16oz Rum Runner Packs - $8 Ebay new: These are only useful if going into an event or cruise. You can put these in your bag with any alcohol and can get through a scanner without being detected. I have tested this many times on cruises. This can save you an arm and a leg in drinking expenses.

#34 Homemade Health Kit: One thing that will be different for everyone is their medical supplies. I definitely suggest bringing the normal bandaids, triple ...

We arrived back in Newport Beach where plans to sail to Catalina Island were afoot. Now Catalina Island is around 26 nautical miles off the coast and me and sailing have a bit of a love/hate relationship. I have enjoyed sailing, I don't mind heeling over, I don't mind a few waves BUT when it goes on for too long, although I'm rarely sick, I hate the feeling, so – I was feeling a little apprehensive. However, Marilyn feels the same way as I ...
