... several mountain passes, descending through 2 valleys that seemingly don't belong within the mountains, and following the San Juan and Rio Grande rivers along the way. This provided a number of picture taking opportunities as the foliage is still a nice yellow color, though leaves are falling rapidly. We took some good shots of the Collegiate Peaks, San Juan River, and other mountain rivers and ponds.
