... to the hotel 2 hours before we could check in, so we set off in search of a park near Huron. We were out in the middle of nowhere, because Ducky likes to avoid traffic. We came upon a country house that had a bunch of cars, we slowed as we drove last and saw a bunch of guests sitting on hay bales and then saw ushers parading out from a barn. I slowed, and then turned ...

After driving through much of Michigan, to include the wild turkey and elk capitals of the state, we arrived for the night in Cheboygan. It was originally an Ojibwe Indian settlement and stands on the northern reaches of Lake Huron. Interstate 75 speed limit is 70 miles per hour, we are not wasting anytime and ...

When we got to Frankenmuth we were in for a surprise. It was a little town like a diamond in the rough. It's like a Bavarian Village and they were having a festival. The village was really pretty and we enjoyed walking around seeing the sights. There was a wooden covered bridge that we were able to walk through as well as lots of neat shops. We had to get some popcorn and a cupcake since we were in need of a snack ...

... a very nice surprise. Absolutely beautiful. The landscaping is immaculate. The inside is cozy and nice. And there are two outbuildings that we plan to stick the kids in tonight. This is going to be an awesome vacation! After only two hours at the island, we already realized what we forgot. It was off to the store for more supplies. What a cold boat ride across the lake. We won't make this mistake again! It is only in the 50s ...
