... wedding season here, now that the humidity has dropped. A wedding is a 3 day celebration here. The Buddhist chanting, bells, gongs and drums are broadcast over a PA starting at 5:30 am for 3 days, and culminating with a big catered dinner party, karaoke, live band and dancing lasting til the wee hours. ... the beach and caught the water taxi back to the main land with the storm approaching ever so quickly. Stopping at Punta Gorda's Fishermans village, we found a table overlooking the water, to watch the sun set from their waterside bar..... with the lightning strikes now a safe distance away, heading North and their flashing behind the dark clouds and the rolling thunder. ... would NOT want to receive a charge from one of them!! The schools are still out on Summer break , and do not return to their classes until mid August...a long time for the working Mums to have alternative care organized for their children.

The morning walks with the 2 dogs is becoming comical..... Rugby the 'year old' American bulldog is charged with energy and when he gets his 4 'wheels' going, he is almost impossible ...
