    The day started off again with a lot of sunshine. We're slowly reaching vacation mode. It's getting more difficult to get up in the morning. We quickly agreed upon a beach day.     ... gardens, sculpture garden, art gallery, restaurants. Really nice. The next day we spent a full 15 hours in the French Quarter. It was fantastic. We got there early enough to catch Jackson Square in the morning fog from the Mississippi. It really made everything look cool. The old French architecture in the quarter is stunning.     ... the beach and caught the water taxi back to the main land with the storm approaching ever so quickly. Stopping at Punta Gorda's Fishermans village, we found a table overlooking the water, to watch the sun set from their waterside bar..... with the lightning strikes now a safe distance away, heading North and their flashing behind the dark clouds and the rolling thunder.     ... would NOT want to receive a charge from one of them!! The schools are still out on Summer break , and do not return to their classes until mid August...a long time for the working Mums to have alternative care organized for their children.

    The morning walks with the 2 dogs is becoming comical..... Rugby the 'year old' American bulldog is charged with energy and when he gets his 4 'wheels' going, he is almost impossible ...
