    ... beach umbrellas, etc. with wooden stakes and surveyors tape. If all goes well in about 55 days, 100-120 little turtles will hatch and make their way to the ocean. We could go on and on with what we have learned about sea turtles, like that the turtle has a stronger sense of smell than a dog and that a single nesting turtle lays 3 to 6 nests per season. We'll spare you our marine life lessons though and just say that sea turtles are awesome!!! ...

    ... gardens, sculpture garden, art gallery, restaurants. Really nice. The next day we spent a full 15 hours in the French Quarter. It was fantastic. We got there early enough to catch Jackson Square in the morning fog from the Mississippi. It really made everything look cool. The old French architecture in the quarter is stunning. We perused every type of shop imaginable from art galleries to Dr. Zombie's VooDoo Shop. You can also take night tours of "haunted" ...

    ... the beach and caught the water taxi back to the main land with the storm approaching ever so quickly. Stopping at Punta Gorda's Fishermans village, we found a table overlooking the water, to watch the sun set from their waterside bar..... with the lightning strikes now a safe distance away, heading North and their flashing behind the dark clouds and the rolling thunder. A magnificent sight with the sun setting underneath ...

    The high heat limits us as to the activities we would like to do outdoors - Garry is not getting enough golf, and consequently we look for things to do indoors.     ... would NOT want to receive a charge from one of them!! The schools are still out on Summer break , and do not return to their classes until mid August...a long time for the working Mums to have alternative care organized for their children.

    The morning walks with the 2 dogs is becoming comical..... Rugby the 'year old' American bulldog is charged with energy and when he gets his 4 'wheels' going, he is almost impossible ...
