Full of art and antique shops, the architecture mostly influenced by Italian and Greek , all built in the early 1800's.     ... yearly event, and the schools also close for the day. 30,000 people at the race meeting the day we were there, along with all the stalls and sideshows, coolers, picnic chairs and lots of sunburnt faces by the end of the day.     ... incredible, it is not called the hottest place on earth for nothing. You could feel the moisture leaching out of your skin. We made sure we had plenty of water in case we broke down and the mustang had some pretty cool gadgets to monitor the oil and cylinder head temperature so we had no issues.     Another beautiful day we are off to Yosemite there is a big fire so we see the smoke as getting. Closer it will be a long way from us and its a different fire to the one in the park this is on the other side we get views of it as we pass.
