... We looked around there for a bit before we ate. We all had something different, but I stuck with their brisket. Fantastic! We even had some left for dinner. Upon returning to town, we stopped at Walmart to walk off lunch. Back at the hotel, we played a full game of dominos. Then split up until morning. The plan is to leave in the morning right after breakfast, so we'll be home mid afternoon. This has been a good couple of days and hopefully mom & dad have made some good ...

... able to go into the Visitors Center and look around. We realized that the hotel we are staying in, is actually right inside the gate of Fort Wolters. There is a Medal of Honor Memorial Garden just down the street. After shopping, we brought daddy back to the hotel so he could rest. Then Bob went to Walmart while mom & I went to Save-a-Lot and Dollar Tree. When we returned to the hotel, we finished the game of dominos we had started this ...

... paid for a $70 Texas State Park pass. This pass waives the entrance fees to the parks, which can be up to $7 per person in addition to the camping fees. The camping fees were $26 per night. We would have stayed longer but they were sold out for the weekend. The park is just a one hour drive from Ft. Worth.

... the refrigerator 35, so guess it worked and we were safer not driving with the propane on.

The campground is not exactly in Mingus, it is just off I-20. The park is OK, not large, gravel sites, sat elite only in certain sites (and extra, I think). There are concrete patios, but since we pulled up far enough that we are right by the hook-ups, we're not at the patio. It rained here also and there are a few puddles around. We have made it as far as Mineral Wells. Time for a fuel stop and getting some fuel for the body too. The heat was terrible today. The sun is down and the ride should be a lot more comfy.
