Before we headed in our southerly direction we took a detour to the Delaware Water Gap. On entry to the Park we knew the 70,000 acres were impressive with the high hills and rock cuts to the slightly ice covered water below. Signs indicated "falling rock, or extreme wildlife ...

... was waiting we immediately raised anchor and moved into the marina. Conveniently, space was available on the dock in front of Alize and this all worked out well to satisfy the request of CBP and getting Jim ashore at the same time. The CBP business was conducted routinely and before long Jim’s sister, her husband and son had arrived and local friends Wally and Patti. Soon another local ...

      Happy Thanksgiving!

A travel blog entry by janmariewv on Nov 22, 2012

      Happy Thanksgiving!
Today was a family day. Our plan was to have our Thanksgiving dinner at Canaan Valley State Park, since we would be leaving right afterward to travel to Summersville, WV to Kerry's dad's house. The state park puts on a nice buffet with carving stations with lots of side dishes and a good selection of desserts- along with a wonderful view of the valley. They have been doing a lot of renovations there-I think ...
