Clean, friendly and beautiful! As many reviews mention, the big lake is dried up but it is still a sight to see- more like a prairie with a little pond.

This is my first blog - so do not be too critical. Basically, I have decided to camping once a month, each time at a different location in FL (for the time being) and blog about it- the good, the bad and the ugly. I have no idea why, it just feels like a good idea - so I am going with my gut here.

I used to go camping all the time when I …

Uncle Al and Aunt Marie in Gainesville, Florida

We left South Carolina and headed for Gainesville. We were going to spend the night with Lewis’s aunt Marie and uncle Al. Lewis had not seen either of them since he was a young child, and I had never met them before at all. I was nervous because we were descending on the home of two strangers, and I didn’t know what to expect, or if they would like us. We arrived just before sunset on ...

We had a good night's sleep in Gainesville and got an 8am start to continue our southward journey. We drove to Tampa and stopped to stick our toes in the water in Tampa Bay and then drove across the famous Sunshine-Skyway bridge. We had been under this bridge on our cruise in 2007 but the view was a lot different this time. We then ate authentic Cuban food at Jose's ...

I'M SO EXCITED TO SEE KASKADE AT HIS REDUX SHOW IN TAMPA AT THE KENNEDY. It's going to be so chill and amazing. And I love him. I'm really looking forward to hearing him play deep house that he doesn't usually play. It's only going to be like 100 of ...

    Lisa and UCF crew visit

OMG. One of the best nights I've had in Gainesville was when Lisa and her UCF crew came up for gator stompin. Gator stompin night was okay but the night AFTER. OMG. So drunk. So awesome. So fun. Jacob got kicked out of cantina. They had their cinco de mayo tents up. Lisa and vibs took shots on the owners tab at shucks. Somji paid ...
