Stayed in a 6 bedroom "cabin" in Blue Ridge Mountains close to Bedford, VA and Peaks of Otter.

As Jeanne said "The good times just keep getting better. And, Karen, thanks for coordinating everything with the house. As much as we *****ed about it, it really hit all the high points--plenty of rooms and bathrooms, a nice dining space, great views, and a hot tub and company that goes unmatched."

... area, and lots of awesome hiker friends in town also. As we headed out, we did not even get a mile out....and I caught a beautiful 4.5 foot Black Rat Snake. He was just laying across the trail! Scared the heck out of another hiker, he went to pass Star Gazer, and as he went to pass me......he noticed the snake and jumped back, saying "What the hell.....you scared the **** outta me, is that poisonous, you are crazy!" . He took a photo of it, and then I let it go. ...

... mph on the BRP (Blue Ridge Parkway) and the curves and bends uphill and down. The only time I used my breaks was to stop for a break or take the occasional pic. I was just going wheeeeeeeee! as the smile on my face grew the hairier the curves got. A couple I had to gear down to slow down enough to safely get around the bend and not go over the middle line or into the wall. Can't wait for tomorrow!
