Our drive to Galena through the corn fields has many more hills than I expected. We went by the farm and home where Linda grew up. It is sad to see that time and a new owner have not kept the place up. Time marches on.

... It was a typical cool, clear mountain desert morning. In the car, Alex made an unusual discovery - there were no buttons to drive the windows up and down. For the first time in his life, he saw a car with a crank for the windows. Funny how we take technology for granted.
