Very busy park, however enough space for just a campervan. Toilets and showers were clean with hot water. Would definitely stay here again!

Pretty Ordinary

Considering the rates they charge, this caravan park is pretty ordinary. There were lots of residents and the sites were really crowded. The facilities were very old and not in great condition.

On the way to Alice Springs at a place called Stuarts Well we came across a Camel Farm. As it was free entry we stopped and had a look. The photo of the van was taken this morning after the birds decided to all sit on the trees above the van at our last camp site and Poo all over the van. It took us ages to get it clean when we arrived in Alice Springs

This morning we went to the Alice Springs School of the Air to see how it operates. We saw a lesson in progress as well as a school assembly where award certificates were handed …

On Tuesday night we had stayed at a The Pebbles which are marketed as a cousin to the Devils Marbles, a very poor cousin I think. I had trouble getting to sleep, not sure why but I shall blame the full moon, when, in the middle of the night, Dawn sat bolt upright in her bed and I could hear her scratching around doing something. When asked what she …

Up early to get the washing done so that we can get out and about Alice to check out the tourist sights. With all the housework done we head down to the township to have our coffee. Then it's a short drive out to where we think The Desert Park is located, only to fine that we've gone too far out of town. Back in closer to town we locate the park …

The 1st of September. On this side of the planet that means Spring has arrived. Not that much has changed since yesterday though, it's still dry, hot and sunny.

But we are travelling south and at a great pace. This means we are moving further away from the equator and towards cooler climes. Today we officially left the tropics, passing …
