Very busy park, however enough space for just a campervan. Toilets and showers were clean with hot water. Would definitely stay here again!

Pretty Ordinary

Considering the rates they charge, this caravan park is pretty ordinary. There were lots of residents and the sites were really crowded. The facilities were very old and not in great condition.

Today we packed up to leave Ayers Rock. We left with a little sadness knowing that this part of our country is unique and remarkable. We are becoming very efficient now in packing up the van. We drove 420km today to arrive at Alice Spring, but of course you know we did that earlier in our trip if you have been reading the blogs!!! We did stop at …

Alice, Oh Alice !!, What is it with this trip ??? We keep being surprised, I have always though of Alice Springs as a place out in the desert, with it's problems, oh no my friend, this place is great, Gorges and Gaps we have seen some of the most spectacular places today, the beauty of the desert and then to come across a most welcoming water hole, …

Turning right has us headed up the Stuart Highway which snakes its way right through to Darwin, traveling through differing landscapes from stone to salt bush and up into the red desert, there isn't to much water up around these parts and lakes are just large salt flats.

On the way to Alice Springs at a place called Stuarts Well we came across a Camel Farm. As it was free entry we stopped and had a look. The photo of the van was taken this morning after the birds decided to all sit on the trees above the van at our last camp site and Poo all over the van. It took us ages to get it clean when we arrived in Alice Springs
