One of the best tours so far. An absolutely beautiful island (largest sandisland in the world). Had lots of fun driving the 4WD, camping, swimming in the best freshwater lakes and being part of a great team.
Breakfast this morning at the hostel before setting off to Fraser Island - bacon and florescent orange eggs that looked more like cornflakes. Mini bag packed, ready to go. 5 hours on a bus finally reaching Rainbow Beach and changing into our 4x4s for Fraser Island. The walk to the lookout was pleasant enough, and amusing to us because Marc had picked up a big stick in case a dingo decided to get aggressive, and Lotte had to have a stick as well - she looked like a little shepherd girl! ... twigs. The lookout was good, we could see the sea, lake, dune and even some massive fish swimming the edges of the lake. Down from the lookout and the next activity, throwing boomerangs. This was great fun, but as we were running late, we only had two throws. Mine went in a perfectly straight line, rubbish!
