    We drove through all the roads, got out and walked among the "what would have been" spectacular azalea gardens, and went to the museum and the greenhouses, saw a bird show, the butterfly gardens, the Victory Garden South, and Mr. Cason's Garden; and made a full day of it anyway.

    ... night, Thursday, we camped at the FDR State Park campground, but because of the holiday weekend we could only stay one night and were forced to find different accommodation for today. We are now in a lovely home built in 1895, which has been made into a bed-and-breakfast. But more on that later. We are now going to the Callaway Gardens for a meal and to enjoy the evening's 4th of July festivities and fireworks

    Camped on site 39 for 14 days for the first time. Great site, shady, private, good TV antenna reception. Pad was not completely level leaned to left. Gina Jay Bartlett camped at site 40. Grassy site we laid out together here. Bates and Herndons and Reynolds camped also. Enjoyed meeting the Reynolds and Herndons. Went to new Mexican restaurant ...
