We set off for what was a very good drive to the Grand Canyon so much so that we reached the place called Desert View where we got our first glimpse of the Canyon. I might have thought I would be Canyoned out by now but this was quite different in scale and awesomeness. There really aren't words to describe the impact of such a natural phenomenon. ... green ranger uniforms & hats. Travelling along the winding road until we reached the Village where our Bright Angel Lodge was positioned on the edge of the South rim of the canyon. There was no where to park, we had to circle the town and drive round again as it was so busy. The top viewpoint was astounding!!! There was quite alot of meteor history and it was really interesting! We couldn't stay too long as we still has a long journey ahead of us!
The next pitstop was the Flagstaff Mall. We popped in to have a mooch around and had a small snack. Mark had recently discovered how much he enjoyed American Hot Dogs and I munched on a hot pretzel!
