We had a nice drive up here on Sunday. We arrived and got set up just before the tornado warnings with severe thunderstorms befused with lightening and thunder. Needless to say we ate indoors. Bob took Meatball for a much needed walk in the middle of the storm and Meatball had a nice swim in the lake in the middle of it all. Thunder doesn't seem to …

... back after admiring the fireworks show and return to sitting by the campfire. Everyone is much more mellow tonight as we had all been too enthusiastic the night before and were all pretty exhausted. We fit in one more game of beer pong and unfortunately Aunty Laura and I cannot hold our title tonight and we lose. I am struggling to keep my eyes open and take myself to bed, and as I mention the word bed, Aaron and Aunty Laura agree and we all head up and pass ...

... br> Sheila and I also took a walk along the St. Croix river. During our visit to Hinckley, we have seen a ton of deer (mostly along the road - scary) and a couple of bald eagles. While we were at the river, we seen some tracks that looked a lot like bear - or perhaps a big dog!!

Tomorrow is moving day and we head up north towards Canada.

Work up today to snow!! Sheila got a picture of me with snow on the jacket. We should have headed south, but despite the cold, the Northwood are very amazing beautiful. Sheila and I explored the North Shore of Minnesota from Duluth to Schroeder - about 100 miles. Our first stop was Duluth - at the Duluth Trading Company. Very expensive place.

Next stop was the lighthouse at Two Harbors. The lighthouse is still operating. We couldn't get in the building but we walked ...
