What can I say... The weather was beautiful; We stayed at one of the Group Cabins It was well kept and it was just the right size for our group. We went down to the bottom of the Falls (one needs to be in pretty good health to take this hike) .The trail along the way was very pretty .We roasted marshmellows that night and. also, we had a visitor... a raccoon! Some of the ladies saw deer earlier in the day. All in all, made for a wonderful time together.

Unsuccessful attempt to beat an impending thunderstorm with a scenic trip to nearby Fall Creek Falls. Jess and Jenn had plans to do an overnite hike here in March but got rained out. Well-deserved break and very pretty area. Couldn't return to civilization without a campfire created by myself (of course), but receiving the coveted seal of approval …

Today, Sunday, June 22nd. We went to Fall Creek Falls State Park to have a cookout and enjoy the gorgeous views of the Lovely Waterfall. We found a nice picnic table and grill shady out of the blazing sun near the ball field and bathrooms. Tony grilled out the Oscar Mayer Jalapeno Weiners...with mustard and onions and ...

... nap. I think today was the first time I really felt the fatigue of everything- the physical exertion, the constant going, the lack of sleep, everything. I woke up, we had dinner (a lot of people DM'd!), and now we're having a couple affordable hosing presentations. It's really interesting stuff, it's just tough when we're tired. I think that's all to report for today, talk to y'all tomorrow. ...

We slept in cots inside the garage for tanks. Cots that had pee and sweat and vomit and lice and it was the best sleep I had in days. Well....that may be an exaggeration. We got a tour of the inside of tanks by Sgt. Davis and his son who was way too into the prospect of shooting at people for my liking.

We had a gorgeous day in central TN going through a few small ...

Day 21: 67 miles into Dunlap, TN

What a beautiful day. I saddled up with Sam M, Tyler, Christine, and Alycia and we started out our day at a crisp pace in the Tennessee rolling hills. We took many pit stops on our way to the climb of the day (my fault for having too many cups of coffee too early in the morning) but began the climb when it was still cool out and our legs were relatively fresh. The climb was gradual and smooth. I climbed alongside Alycia for most of it, but we found most ...
