A really well designed RV park. Plenty of space, utilities are in the right place, staff is eager to please, the scenery around the park is expansive. What's not to like?

... wind. As we progressed into Nevada, handily welcomed by the small blue sign, the roads seemed to straighten out and the wind picked up. Maybe it has to do with the gambling here, who knows?

We had been seeing snow in the mountains and on a few vehicles that approached us. The temperature continued to drop and got down to 34 on one of the several passes we crossed. At one point there was slush on the road and significant snow nearby.

... camping at Pioneer Rv park in Hermiston, OR. A nice RV park, completely paved with grassed areas in a pleasant small town. The next morning we drove all the way to Oliver, BC. At the Canada border they confiscated our chicken and eggs because there was a ban on US poultry because of Avian flu. It seems the US did not kill off its infected chickens (they did in Canada). It was wonderful to return to the Okanagan and see ...

... you can find out all about it at: http://www.roadsideamerica.com/tips/get Attraction.php?tip_AttractionNo==932 That was a bit of excitement but the last bit till we got to Austin Nevada. It was evening by the time we arrived within sight of Austin and let me tell you Austin Nevada is no Austin Texas! After hours of nothing Austin looked like a thriving metropolis! Two gas stations, 6 bars and a lot of empty buildings. Fortunately we were ...
