A really well designed RV park. Plenty of space, utilities are in the right place, staff is eager to please, the scenery around the park is expansive. What's not to like?

Great trip down Route 93 to Ely. Passed the "Loneliest Road in America", Route 50, but this has got to be a competitor. There's not a lot to be said for Nevada. We can put it in two words. Desert and casinos. We drove for 7 hours to get to Ely. It was a midway point for us on our way to Yosemite.

The next morning we needed to get some work done so we needed wifi. After speaking with the hotel clerk she directed us to the Hotel Nevada. turns out the Hotel Nevada is a historic casino with a cafe. After spending multiple hours working we wanted to ...

  • 5:20 p.m. Finally arrived at the final destination for the night. 3 stops in one day is a lot. I got a sunburn while at the salt flats. Because of the burn I am more tired then usual.
  • I am very excited to go to Las Vegas tomorrow, final fun stop. But I'm starting to miss home. Maybe staying at a hotel in a real bed will feel more like home.

... their nicknames and their Ely high school class that was only 80 people.

Walking the main strip it’s filled with more murals and abandoned hotels/restaurants. Once again, I picture myself buying one and turning it into a living space just like I’ve seen on HGTV. This hotel is the only “happening place” in town. Sadly, there wasn’t ...
