A really well designed RV park. Plenty of space, utilities are in the right place, staff is eager to please, the scenery around the park is expansive. What's not to like?

Great trip down Route 93 to Ely. Passed the "Loneliest Road in America", Route 50, but this has got to be a competitor. • 5:20 p.m. Finally arrived at the final destination for the night. 3 stops in one day is a lot. I got a sunburn while at the salt flats. Because of the burn I am more tired then usual.
  • I am very excited to go to Las Vegas tomorrow, final fun stop. But I'm starting to miss home. Maybe staying at a hotel in a real bed will feel more like home.

With The Loneliest Highway in America now behind me, I took a much needed day off in Ely, Nevada. It is what they call out here, a 'Big Town'. There are 2 main streets, a few small casinos and a bunch of run down motels that wouldn't cut it elsewhere. I stayed in one of them and I honestly feel that my already weather worn tent is much cleaner. I felt the need to sleep on top of the comforter with all the lights on and the tv going to ...

... their nicknames and their Ely high school class that was only 80 people.

Walking the main strip it’s filled with more murals and abandoned hotels/restaurants. Once again, I picture myself buying one and turning it into a living space just like I’ve seen on HGTV. This hotel is the only “happening place” in town. Sadly, there wasn’t ...

It didn't take us long to find our hotel in Ely and after the welcome margaritas we stayed in the casino for cheap burgers a few bottled beers. No draught beer available yet on this tour.....something has to change. We gambled our complimentary $3 vouchers and made them into $10 for the kitty. Look out Donald Trump we're on our way up! The hotel had ...
