      ... walking stick, but alas, no luck! But we had fun rummaging through the piles of sun bleached wood – it was so interesting! Side note – a majority of the small businesses we saw along the road were selling beautiful drift wood carvings…whales, bears, pelicans – they are fantastic. Too bad we did not have enough room in our car/trailer for a giant beach wood sculpture…that would have been nice in the front yard!! Now on to Point Reyes, ...

      ... about that when I had that view to look at, formations of birds flying overhead and a ton of adrenaline still coarsing through my body. I looked at the others and they were all just as knackered but we all felt the same. As critical a situation as that was, it was an intensely fun and entertaining experience. I was buzzing for ages afterwards and I'll never forget those few minutes of frantic team work, plus the sense of hilarious jubilation that followed.

      Yesterday was summer and got up to 75 degrees. I stared feeling a little better in the morning. We all pruned for six hours, except for Jen, who worked with Holly in the office and in the garage making up a new sleeping space for WWOOFers. We all tend to prune in the same area, with occassional banter and lots of iTunes. The morning session was 10:00 to 1:30.       ... as he went. It took hours and we almost didn't start bottling. But we did. The barn got colder and colder and I was having a hard time with my sniffles. Still, it was pretty exciting eventually. We got some tunes going and it was like a dance for a while. They finally got the syphon going. We could fill three bottles at a time.
