... June and jackets are just not words that need to be used in the same sentence. We were able to walk up to the base of the lighthouse and the keeper's house, but unfortunately, we could not go up in the lighthouse. The good news was there was a neat shop where Morgan found a silver charm for her bracelet and I found a painted tile for my collection.
Back on the road we drove to Freeport, Maine to the flagship store ...

... and Maine and seeing the sign at the border. We made a quick "pit stop" (the last of hundreds) at a rest stop a few miles up the interstate. I remember smelling the pine trees during the early afternoon and welcomed the eventuality that in a couple of hours, we'll be "home" and in our own house, our own kitchen, living room, bathroom and, of course, our own bedroom and bed.

Breakfast at the b&b, then we walked to town to check on the boat schedule. Boat didn't leave until 1 so we walked around town then came back to the b&b for a while (I took a nap)...,walked back down to the pier for our boat trip. It was great! Cap'n Fish's Little Bit of Maine tour..,.2 hours long and the weather was gorgeous! Came back and had a quick snack ...

... Then we drove up to Freeport and went to the LL Bean store and to the Wicked Whoopies store. There are a lot of cute stores in town (plus outlet stores) but we went through a lot of them last time. We were getting tired, and wanted to get to Boothbay! It's a little over an hour from Freeport. Arrived at Harborage Inn and checked in. We're in room 10 this time, because our room from last time is taken. ... and put where its supposed to be, its close enough and we even have some room left - big shock to me.

During one of my trips to Rockland, I parked as close to the Atlantic Ocean as I could without getting the tires wet - and will do the same thing in northern California to show the Pacific. See photo.

Access to Wifi will be hit and miss, we'll check in as we can - for the next 3 months.

Time to wake the dog.
