Amenities we're clean but this big name park is very badly designed for caravans, as well as too busy.

The Park catered so well to so many, it is incredible how every one fitted in, absolutely packed and yet good access to amenities. Well appointed amenities. Would recommend this place anytime. Very close to the places of interest, the free range zoo, observatory etc.

Nice and clean cp, the local aboriginal guy/caretaker was really nice and helpful, especially when we had to reverse the van into the site, next time we will get a drive thru.

Nice and close to the zoo and town of Dubbo.

      Days 2 to 4

      233 km travelled today

After a very pleasant stay at Sandy Hollow we made a leisurely exit from the park and headed along the Golden Highway toward Dubbo. This leg of the journey was very enjoyable with stops at Merriwa for lunch and a rest, and Dunedoo to fill up with petrol.

We stayed at a great caravan park in Dubbo just a short distance from the zoo. On the way to Dubbo we stopped at a town called Young which is the cherry capital of Australia. Like a lot of these towns it had a beautiful railway station. The Dubbo caravan park had incredibly good amenities so we cooked dinner and breakfast in the camp kitchen. After …

I am writing from Dubbo, NSW

We have been here 3 days and are off to Lake Keepit tomorrow (about 300 km NE of here)

The journey to here from Lake Hume was interesting in places

When we left the weather was cloudy and very foggy in parts - particularly north of Wagga Wagga

We stopped at Wagga Wagga …

... me well, you know how much I love Xmas and I'm gutted I'm missing out on all the build up at home :-( Anyway back to Wellington. It's our second stop here and well wort it. I love this city. It's small enough to walk everywhere but big enough that everything you need is at hand. It's a busy city with lots of culture, happy people and lots to entertain. We stayed over a weekend ...
