... now, but my research says that, although it is a bit low from drought, it is lowered and raised as needed. The facility has a LOT of houseboats available for rental, and that sounds like fun to me.

We checked into our hotel in Redding after 5 PM and were given a huge suite, almost as big as my first house. Thank-you La Quinta. Beamer is really enjoying having his own digs. Tomorrow Lassen National Volcanic ...

Tuesday, July 21, 2015. PCT 93. Miles 1501.8-1506.3. The views of Mt. Shasta this morning were breath taking. Knowing that we only had about 5 miles of downhill into town, we took our time breaking camp, not leaving until 8am. We made it down to Castle Crags State Park by 10ish. Cuban B, Too Much, and Myself called the shuttle service posted on the trailhead to pick us up ...

He is the fly fisherman that is gonna write a guide book about fishing along the PCT. So tomorrow I make it into Mt. Shasta the town. I will take a zero there for sure. I have not had a zero since Lake Tahoe around June 1st. That was 19 days ago. I have been hiking every day now for 19 days straight. I think I am due for a rest ...

Sunday, July 19, 2015. PCT day 91. Miles 1452-1476 Today was an amazing day, definitely one of those days where I was on fire, to the point of actually running a few times on the trail. We had 24 miles to get to the McCloud River, and I heard there is good swimming there. The swimming was definitely my incentive to get to that river by 17:00 latest. Even with an hour lunch and a 15 min ...

... to hike over slanted rocks with a drop off so you wouldn't want to fall. Most of the people we saw on the trail were like 20 years old, and for good reason. Its a hard trail! I barely had the energy to finish. I was really running out of steam at the end. But it had been my dream to hike to the Castle Crags. My Dad and I ate lunch and rested quite a bit after we finally got to the end of the trail. There were some people ...
