... and their historical society has done a wonderful job of marking sites, but I find it loud and busy for a small town. The park area we are in however is very peaceful.... all we here are ducks and blue jays. Thanks to Otto, I was able to squeeze in another paddle before the end of my season. He drove all the way down to the lower Hudson at Lake Luzerne from Saranac Lake to accommodate me. His grandson Milo was staying with him so I got to meet him.

I had a map, but managed to get a bit lost on the way. I tried to call Otto but no cell service. Then I got a call from him saying he was running late and lost. ...

Pirate Day on the Hudson. An annual event held by the Adirondack Adventure crew where they supply pirate costume items complete with eye-patches and scarfs. The crew dons their pirate best and a crazy fun filled day of rafting takes place on the Hudson River.
