Great park, loved the beff'n' Barra on Friday night when we arrived. Did not have to cook and the money raised goes to Care Flight. Only downer was the bats.

Very friendly staff, well set out park and shady sites. We enjoyed our stay overlooking Lake Kununurra. A regular freshwater croc made his way in each evening and we really enjoyed the barra burger night down by the camp fire. Well done for putting this event together only wished we could have enjoyed the Wed and Saturday night special events put on - all monies going to the St John Ambulance volunteers.

Arrived here at the peak of the dry season and yet were still found a water front site. Large park with powered and unpowered sites as well as bungalows. Functional amenities block, good laundry, dump point and gas bottle refills all available. Plenty of BBQs along the lake foreshore.

We arrived here with car problems needing repairs. The staff could not have been more accommodating ensuring a suitable site for up to a week knowing how busy the town mechanics are. Would definitely recommend.

This morning we went to the markets in Kununurra. There were some great stalls and we bought a couple of souvenirs. We also got to pat some little joey kangaroos and wallabies. They were adorable! We then headed to Wyndham, 90km from Kununurra. On the way we stopped to check out The Grotto, which is a 90 metre deep chasm and is a popular swimming …

After a quiet morning at the caravan park, we headed to Lake Argyle (70km away) after lunch as we were booked on a sunset cruise. Our first stop was at the Durack Homestead museum, which was the house of the family that owned the station at Lake Argyle. It had some really interesting stuff, but the most fascinating thing was a bower bird's nest …

We are back on schedule today and camping at the Lake Kununurra Discovery Park on a beautiful waterfront site. Apparently George the freshwater croc comes up on the bank every morning so we are looking forward to that tomorrow. This afternoon we went for a drive to the Northern Territory which was only around half an hour away. We saw some gorgeous …
