The lady that booked us in was lovely, helpful and friendly. the cabin we booked cost $119, the inside was very old, to shut the bathroom door which was an old swollen wooden door, you had to lift it up and drag it closed, i was worried I might not be able to open it again and be shut in the bathroom, it took a bit of force. the bed and linen was all clean, no problems with cleanliness. I think it could have been cheaper, we stayed after this another night in different part of adelaide, in delux room, whichwas magnificent, very modern, spacious for only $97. i think the cabin was way over priced.

Our stay in semaphore reminded me of the many Christmas I spent as a kid. The almost west facing beaches with their white sand, the seaweed the sulphar smell the semaphore fair the frog cakes, the jetty and the warmth of the sun. We rolled into the Adelaide beachfront caravan park in the afternoon. The cabin was fine, a little small but the kids …

Had my guitar here from last visit and travelling with my little ukulele so doing lots of music practice and generally chilling out, going to yoga classes and kirtan (they have amazing kirtan here :) and going to the beach. Also got membership to a wildlife centre in the hills where they look after orphaned koalas, so going to make that a regular trip! Love ...

Next day, Saturday, we decided to head down to Glen Elg to spend some time on the beach, since it was supposed to get warmer. Weather had been very nice, but highs of only around 20 & it was to get up to 26. It was also Christmas Pageant (Santa Claus Parade) day in Adelaide, so ...

Our first week back after our three week holiday in Thailand was quite a busy one. While we were away there were some major flooding in the orchards with extremely high winds tearing some of the netting. To prevent further tearing we had to cut the net along the wires, this took careful planning as we wanted to 'catch' the net as it was cut loose so that we could in theory try and get most of the net in one row to prevent further damage to the trees. The netting is ...
