    Great location, pretty nice bungalows, clean, laid back atmosphere, decent price for beachfront.

    We arrived in Thailand at 1 in the morning, we had a shuttle to the hotel booked. It was a very nice hotel considering it only cost us £14 to stay there! In the morning we got a train into the centre of Bangkok. We then booked ourselves onto an overnight bus and ferry to Ko Tao. We then went to Siam square, which was several huge shopping malls!     ... started in the morning with a classroom review and movie watching, so I watched a quick movie and then joined everyone in the pool for first lessons. I think having done a basic intro SCUBA course in Australia a number of years ago had me at an advantage to be able to do this.     ... our respirator incase it became water logged, we practised that above the water and then had to go and practise it underwater. Our instructor said that that was going to be one of the only instructions given above water! Everything else he would demonstrate underwater and we would have to copy. First things first you have to breathe underwater, I'm not sure what I expected that to feel like but it feels very strange. If you're someone who doesn't really think too much ...
