... do these camel treks twice a day sometimes going back to his camp in between the sunrise and sunset journeys. Dark skinned and stunning in his blue djellaba and orange turban, his English was impressive and his interest in us seemingly genuine. It was a pleasure to sit with him in his home as the sun rose.

... the following morning around 5am (yay, a whole 3 hours rest! no wonder I still have this freakin cold) and mounted our camels, still half asleep. I think Jody's camel, the one at the back of the group, was also still half asleep as it let itself be dragged along by the mouth rather than keep up pace.
