... Mud Malt when I'm in Missouri at Mark Twain's home town.

Tomorrow is a pretty busy day. I am really enjoying this trip. The Main Street, USA feel has been great. The GRR goes between really, really rural areas when I don't see a car or house for upwards of 20/30 miles to little tiny towns filled with really ...

After arriving close to 6 pm we wandered into town with our packs to find us some accommodation. The closest accommodation was a hotel a ten minute walk from the station so we turned up and took their cheapest room for the night. Now their cheapest room was less than what we paid for hostels we have stayed in and we shared a king ...

... to it, got some beer at the store, sat out right next to the ole Mississippi. Nice spot. People are very friendly, crusty but very friendly. They have showers (cool water )and flush toilets (yeah!!!). The river is down 6 feet! They say it floods the entire campground every spring. Can you imagine? sunny, high 70s. we've had such nice weather the entire month. Jim met 'Charlie', very friendly guy in his 70s.
