... till it got a little later. I made some food at the 7-eleven picnic table and plugged my phone into their wall outside. A man pulled up in his car and asked me some questions about my route. He had biked these parts quite a bit and gave me some suggestions. When I pulled out my map, he jumped up on the picnic table and walked on top of it to my side. ... to find a place to rinse it off later. Biking I the rain wasn't too bad. I have a good gortex shell, and I wore a cap under the hood to deflect the rain. Drivers were extra cautious around me, too. Still not sightings of other cyclists... Muscatine is where some routes intercept, so maybe tomorrow I'll find one. After a delayed train due to 'mechanical reasons' we were on our way to little old Galesburg, Illinois. After arriving close to 6 pm we wandered into town with our packs to find us some accommodation. The closest accommodation was a hotel a ten minute walk from the station so we turned up and took their cheapest room for the night.
