Day 21 - NZ Sunday 3rd April Happy Mothers Day!! Today was a tough tough day, we booked to do the Tongariro Alpine Crossing over Mt Ngauruhoe ACTIVE volcano, which is rated as the best day walk in NZ!! We met the transfer bus at 8am but weather conditions weren't great really low cloud cover but the dude took us out to the start of the walk anyway …

In the morning we visited the museum at Waitomo and then set off for Rotorua and Taupo. Rotorua is a 'thermal town' which basically means that it absolutely stinks!!
