... the hotel on the hiway and it looks pretty rustic. They got a room...and WIFI lol.....and a hot tub they say....coooolllll. I'm in. So I unpack....had to make a reservation for the hot tub....ya not kidding....very strange.

Put me trunks on....scooted back .... and they proceeded to tell me to go out back about 300 yard down a dirt trail should find the hot tub...hmmmmmmm banjo's started to play in me head....sounded like the theme ...

Bear Valley Hot Springs

... about 135-140°. A cold day made for a nice soak in the springs. There were red spider mites, but weren't too bad unless you leaned against the edges of the pool.

The ford of the river was freezing (particularly so on the way back, near dusk). We saw a porcupine in the snowy road on the way back towards the highway to Lowman.
