Summary

Drove 133 miles north of Boise to the town of Stanley the gateway to the Sawtooth Mts in 3 hours.

Highlights

Was good to get back in the car after some stationery days albeit that we were not driving far and Karen was sad to leave her brothers after our short visit. We arrived at the hotel and they couldn't check us in so we went on a 1.5 ...

... We also got to see some of the local music talent at the Redfish Lodge and had an extended evening with some fellow car campers who had been on the road for over 5 months. Chris enjoyed some east coast banter with his new found friend from NYC who was just about relocate to Seattle. The complaints of west coast pizza, bagels and sandwiches were predictable.

... for breaky and they had the waffle maker...awesome way to start the day....sad thing is I had to give a guy instructions on how to use it....seriously....I thought it was tard proof...apparently not....he did have a drawl....draw your own conclusions.

We were told that this was a really beautiful place..... so we headed south and were a little disappointed. The lake is rather nice but the camp ground was amongst the trees , many of which had been cut down and left , so we felt like we were in a forestry site. also it was cold, really cold, we left this morning in 25 c and arrived here in the afternoon at about 12 c.
