... to allow us to catch up after several years.

While enjoying a beverage on the porch before dinner, a juvenile bald eagle entertained us by trying a landing on the roof not 10 feet from where we sat but took off immediately. Slow start this morning since we lost an hour yesterday. On the road at 10:22am, local time. We are still amazed at the campground in Boissevain. We left Birch Villa at 8:15 a.m., Central Time. Even though we sent a few things home with Mom & Dad, our car seems fuller. I can't understand why…I mean, we only added several clothes purchases, 20 quart sized bags of frozen fish, a case of ForestEdge wine, and a kitten (plus litter, kitty food, etc)! The trip home was uneventful, with a stop for lunch at Culver’s in Rice Lake, Wisconsin (where we met up with Beth and her ...

... accounting business office. To a kid...this translated into a constant supply of nails and scrap lumber. With the help of many childhood friends/cousins, I built probably one of the most elaborate tree houses a 7-14 year old probably could've. I walked the girls around the yard last night, pointing out groves of trees I planted when I was their age, and the massive garden spot, now moved and considerably smaller.  I ran this morning down ...
