... for the date night special at Tutto Bene’s. We enjoyed great food and conversation. We had to stop at WalMart after dinner though, to get some cat litter, cat food and a feeding bowl. Most of the kids had pizza from the resort lodges, and then went to take in a movie. Tomorrow we will try to find out if Migi has an owner that is looking for him. If not, I think Leah will always call this one of her luckiest days (despite falling in the ...

Our second week started with a cold, dreary Monday. Being the fair-weather fishermen that we are, we didn't go out on the lake today. Seth informed us it was actually a merganser. She fluttered around getting ...

... Tom & I got on our bikes and hit the Heartland Trail down to Walker. The 24-mile trip was pleasant and a nice workout for me. We arrived in Walker at around 4:00, and after a quick ice cream cone break, Tom continued on his way another 23-ish miles to Park Rapids. I shopped for a bit, picking up the obligatory pound of Highlander Grogg (our favorite!), as well as a pound of Snickerdoodle coffee (something ...

... accounting business office. To a kid...this translated into a constant supply of nails and scrap lumber. With the help of many childhood friends/cousins, I built probably one of the most elaborate tree houses a 7-14 year old probably could've. I walked the girls around the yard last night, pointing out groves of trees I planted when I was their age, and the massive garden spot, now moved and considerably smaller.  I ran this morning down ...
