Upon leaving Maine, we were treated to some of the most amazing color! New Hampshire is just a beautiful state. It is very hilly and has a few mountains! (which we have missed) It rained very hard the entire drive. We stopped at Grafton Notch State Park and went to see Screw Auger Falls. They were torrential with the pouring rain. The view was worth the good soaking that we caught walking out to them. We stayed ...

        Her view of the week-end:

We woke late Saturday after a very full week. We were looking forward to an afternoon balloon ride to view the fabled Autumn leaves from above. Sadly, this was not to be. The heavy winds of the past week had halted all balloon flights - and ours was no exception. It was rescheduled for Monday, at 6am. Not looking forward ...

        Hi everyone.

We had high praise a day or two ago, when friends emailed, and said they were looking forward to the next blog update, quote 'which must be just about due'. No pressure then, but delighted someone is looking forward to our musings. Again, thank you all for the comments we received in response to the last blog post - we are pleased that it continues to be of interest ...

The wild centre is a little conservation and wildlife centre we found in a brochure about Tupoer Lake. Little did we know that this little gem would turn out to be one of the most fascinating places we have been. It had everything from a planetarium to indoor animal displays and a movie theatre. There was also a huge outdoor area with snow shoe trails and hikes, lakes and butterfly trails. What we thought was ...

Miles and Dave went on a trail run but I just ran along the road. I am a bad enough runner anyways that I did not want to make it worse by being on a trail. aPPARENTLY ABOUT 20 MINutes into their run they saw a big bull moose. Sure I was jelious, but I would not have been able to run that long anyway. After my run I ate and showered, then they got back and miles showered then we were off. We did a trail called the basin which led to ...
