    We hebben vannacht heerlijk geslapen in de camper, wat is het hier rustig! Rond een uur of 07:00 worden we wakker en staan we rustig op, we maken een kop thee en smeren alvast bagels voor de lunch. Vandaag hebben we namelijk een lange strandwandeling gepland! We gaan naar Long Beach een strand van 18km! We ontbijten lekker in de zon voor de camper …

    Samstag 06.06.15 Am Samstag haben wir wie abgemacht, Margrit mit Familie und Ihre Schwester mit Mann im Stanley Park getroffen. Dazu haben wir uns ein Velo mit Anhänger gemietet. Nach dem gemeinsamen Mittagessen sind wir zur English Bay gefahren, wo sich die Kinder auf einem grossen Spielplatz austoben und die Füsse im Meer baden konnten …

    ... I will cherish.

    Then a trail to “South Beach” – a boardwalk through ancient forest, along the shore. Truly magical. To be rewarded at the end by a little cove, full of pebbles of all different types of stone. I could happily have stayed all day, just poking and searching for treasure. My small handful of stones, will sit in my living room and make me smile.

    ... to huge Kennedy Lake and eventually the turn to Ucluelet.

    We drove into town to have a look at the Wild Pacific Trail. It was amazing to see the Pacific Ocean with tide pools and small islands offshore. There were quite a few bent trees from the strong ocean breezes and we even spotted a bald eagle circling above us. The trail wasn’t very long, but it was great to breathe the salty air once again. From Ucluelet, we drove north towards Tofino ...

    ... in a private room, in the nicest hostel so far on the trip its right by the water with great views a big kitchen and randomly a sauna. we managed to come at the time they have a whale festival on to celebrate the return migration on thousands of grey whales so we booked on a whale watching trip and although we didnt get right up close to any whales we did see some knocking about and pointing their tails out the water when diving we also saw one ...
