... and Tom took the opportunity to go for a ride on a couple of bikes that belonged to Troy and his family. Margaret and I took the opportunity to watch them.

It would have been good to be able to spend a little more time with this Aussie expat, but it is time to move on. Next step on the unplanned agenda is South Carolina.

Another day on the road today! Hayley drove 300 miles through North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia, then I did the last 50 miles to Kingstown, Georgia which is just outside Florida.

We could tell the weather was getting warmer with every little drive south we did. When we woke up it was comfortable and we were able to go outside in t-shirts and leave the van door open. It was a nice change of pace from always having to bundle up before leaving the van. It hasn't been uncomfortably cold for the most part of the trip, with the exceptions of a few days, but it has been cold enough to always have to put on hat, gloves, scarf and jackets when getting up to go to ...

... way, this concerned me as I KNEW this would mean spending more money! There was a lot of good stuff in there and Di was in her element looking at boots and belts etc. I was also looking at boots, every time I come over I keep thinking about buying some cowboy boots and then regret it when I get home that I didn't, anyway this time I decided to bite the bullet and buy a pair, just hope I have the nerve to wear them ...
