... This is a wild and unimproved park which was fun. We wandered around in the woods for awhile loving the spongy, soft ground due to hundreds of years of needles underfoot. We turned back and decided we still had time for a quick look at Ellison's Bluff. Nice place, great views, looks like some nice walks again.

Back to the harbor. It was a cold and windy day and we ...

... it, wrinkled and gray. It was nice. Just as nice was the wonderful and larger-than-it-looked hidden alcove right below the arch. There is evidence of ancient people camping/living here. I can imagine it would have had great spiritual meaning and I could imagine groups of hunters staying here as they hunted the mammoths at the edge of the glacier. But because the weather is turning (it was COLD) most of the little shops ...

Then it was on to Ontario and canoeing on the Kickapoo. This was the perfect river for me. I debated long and hard about tackling the Wisconsin, but in the end I wanted something more intimate. After seeing the Wisconsin in real life I was so glad we weren't going to canoe it. I'm not great at canoeing. Last time I was on a river in a canoe we tipped and ...

    ... the recommendation!

We stopped at Pewit's nest on the way back. Different landscape from Parfrey's Glen, but again a very nice slot canyon, didn't stay long, it felt more ominous to me. Forevertron was closed. From the few items on display out front it looked intriguing. It was not open again while we were in the area so missed out. The day couldn't have gone any better, it was ...
